"NEW" Conclusions: PES and fight against poverty

05.11.2014 to 06.11.2014

Poverty affects social life and labor markets around the world, even in developed economies.

Although the overall level of life, especially in the poorest regions, has steadily improved since 1990, poverty is taking new structural forms and equally shocking.

Having a job, for example, is no longer a guarantee of living. Poor or insufficient employment workers may be in a situation of inability to pay, even with demanding work and often informal.

On the other hand, ethnic minorities and refugees may be trapped in poverty due to lack of infrastructure and social recognition of their skills.

Worldwide poverty in the long term, according to the World Bank is an average of 16%, remains one of the main social problems generated distortion, abusive behavior and crime.
