Managing Migration training
This training course of WAPES in the Americas is planned in collaboration with the ILO. It will define systems to promote orderly management of labour mobility, especially in the countries of Central America. For four days and a half and through various interactive exercises participants will be given information and practical tools to facilitate the interaction between labour institutions involved in managing migration flows in different countries of the area. The course is therefore targeted on mobility management staff working at different levels and functions: authorities and officials in governments, mainly the Ministries of Labour, public employment services and labour migration departments, as well as employer's and worker's organisations. The planning and execution of the course, apart from the ILO and WAPES, counts with materials and experts from the International Organization for Migration, the European Union and the Ministry of Employment and Social Security of Spain. The course has two phases. After this first workshop, in which countries willing to organize common mobility projects will design their pilots, those project approaches will be evaluated in 2014.
