1ST EDITION OF THE GUINEA SALON DES ENTREPRENEURS (ENTREPRENEURS FAIR): THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC ALPHA CONDÉ COMMITS TO ACCOMPANY YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
Conakry, 12 March 2019 - The President of the Republic Alpha Condé participated last Tuesday in the opening ceremony of the first edition of the Entrepreneurs' Fair of Guinea, an initiative taken by the Guinean Government through the Guinean Agency for the Promotion of Employment (AGUIPE) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ITC).
For this major event, a number of guests, participants and speakers from other countries, together with young Guineans, brought their expertise, shared their knowledge and found openings for the development of entrepreneurship in the Republic of Guinea.
For the Director of the Guinean Agency for the Promotion of Employment (AGUIPE), the diagnosis of the economic and social situation of most African countries proves major challenges to ensure the structural transformation of their economies. Sékouba Mara mentions that to reverse this trend, in Guinea, decent employment insurance, social inclusion of vulnerable groups are a strategic outcome of the National Plan for Economic and Social Development (PNDES).
Arancha Gonzales, Executive Director of the International Trade Center (ITC), mentioned that SADEN is a catalyst event of initiatives to promote talent, encourage innovation and advocate for a better entrepreneurial ecosystem in Guinea. According to her, SADEN is an opportunity to collaborate with other sources of investment that will allow Guinean talents to orient themselves in their investment lines.
In turn, the Minister in charge of Investment and Public-Private Partnerships, recalled that for eight years the government under the instruction of the President of the Republic has engaged in a series of reforms to improve the business climate and make the Guinean private sector more competitive.
For the Head of State Alpha Condé, the SADEN is an initiative to commend. "To take such an initiative in the dynamics and the development of ideas and drafts of ideas, is something Guinean youth was missing" he declared. Finally, the President of the Republic committed to accompany the Guinea Entrepreneurs Fair and not only to ensure the continuity of the initiative, but also to boost entrepreneurship in the Republic of Guinea.
