CPR/ANPE Mali: Training tailored to the real needs of the labor market

10 September 2019

The ANPE’s Centre de Perfectionnement et Reconversion - CPR (Professional Development and Retraining Center) is a specialized training instrument tailored to the needs of companies through the development and retraining of active workers as well as the enhancement of the employability of jobseekers.

Access to the CPR / ANPE is based on entrance examination (written and oral tests). It is open to both business workers (private and parapublic) and jobseekers.

There are skills (modular full day courses), diploma (evening classes) and a la carte training courses which can be taken individually and are available for companies also.

In addition to computer training (Initiation to Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and à la carte according to individual and corporate needs, the courses currently taught at the CPR are: Finance/Accounting, Human Resources Management, Business Informatics (in LMD system); Brevet Professionnel diploma in banking (BPB) with the Diploma of the Institut Technique de la Betterave (ITB) of Paris; Management Assistant (SD).

Computer training (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Job Search Techniques (TAR) and à la carte are modular and full day courses.
As for diploma courses, they are in the evening (17 h - 21 h).

In addition to the Bamako Center, the CPR has branches (Regional Centers) in Kayes, Sikasso, Segou, Mopti and Gao.

Thus, every year, hundreds, if not thousands, of students finish the CPR's different courses with new and enhanced skills to better serve their employers in an increasingly competitive and in continuous evolution sector (see table below).

The CPR is the result of a fruitful partnership between the National Employment Agency (ANPE), the public employment service (PES) of Mali, and the private sector, through the National Council of Employers of Mali (CNPM), the Permanent Assembly of the Chamber of Trades of Mali (APCMM) and the Permanent Assembly of the Chamber of Agriculture of Mali (APCAM).
