SOCIEUX+ (EU Expertise on Social Protection, Labour and Employment) is hosting a debate on the topic Universal social protection: From poverty to inequality at European Development Days (EDD), Europe’s leading forum on international cooperation and development, organized by the European Commission. The session, jointly organised by SOCIEUX+ and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Development Centre, will take place on the 18th of June, from 17:00 to 18:15, at the Tour & Taxis venue in Brussels, Belgium.
Following this year’s EDD theme of Addressing inequalities: Building a world which leaves no one behind, a panel of international speakers will discuss the evolution of social protection in developing countries as a driver of inclusive growth, not just a safety net for those left behind. The debate will bring together policy makers and experts who have worked with SOCIEUX+ and the OECD Development Centre to share their knowledge and experiences in this area.
