Green Jobs Development: WAPES and its partners lead discussions in N'Djamena.

10 December 2018

The Public Employment Services (PES) of Africa and around the world, members of the World Association of PES (WAPES) and their partners will be gathered from 11 to 13 December 2018 in N'Djamena (Chad) to discuss on "PES and Green Jobs Development".

As a prelude to the official opening ceremony of the international conference scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday at Hilton Hotel in N'Djamena, WAPES delegation led by the Vice President for Africa Region and Director General of the ANPE Mali, Mr. Ibrahim AG Nock, paid a visit to the Chadian Minister of Youth, Sports and Employment Promotion, Mr. Mahamat Nassour Abdoulaye.

This visit was an opportunity for the WAPES delegation to offer once again its sincere congratulations to Minister Abdoulaye for the confidence that the President of the Republic, HE Idriss Deby ITNO, has placed on him and who honours all WAPES member PES; it must be remembered that Mr. Mahamat Nassour Abdoulaye was until his appointment in April 2018, Director General of the National Office for the Promotion of Employment (ONAPE) of Chad. As such, he was one of the leading actors in WAPES and its homologue in Africa, the African Association of Public Employment Services (AASEP), whose presidency is assured by Mali through the Director General of the ANPE, Mr. Ibrahim AG Nock.

The delegation also exchanged views with the Minister on the preparations for the conference and thanked the Government and the people of Chad for their warm welcome to participants, a clear sign of the legendary hospitality of its people.

Minister Mahamat Nassour Abdoulaye, for his part, thanked the delegation for choosing his country to host such an event and reiterated all the availability and support of the Government for its success.
