Mexico and Guatemala sign Agreement on Crossborder Migration

On 7th of August the Ministers of Labour for Guatemala and Mexico have signed a bilateral agreement for crossborder mobility of workers. The agreement focuses on the exchange of labour market information like vacancies that ensure decent work. It will include a close cooperation of public and private employment agencies on both sides of the border and allow a precise service to mobile job-seekers and employers. The content of the agreement was prepared in trainings and consultancy with the International Labour Orgabnization (ILO), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and WAPES.
