Another national partnership for NASWA was announced with an important Veterans Service Organization: NASWA has partnered with Student Veterans of America (SVA) to provide student veterans access to the National Labor Exchange (NLx). This access will enable student veterans to find new careers and internship openings.

NASWA Executive Director, Scott B. Sanders stated, "We are excited for the opportunity to provide SVA access to the National Labor Exchange (NLx). The NLx is fueled by our states' job banks and corporate sites and has over 2 million available openings."

This partnership with SVA is important to NASWA for several reasons. It provides NASWA access to a network of over 1,300 institutions of higher education and over 500,000 student veterans. It also strengthens the role of state workforce agencies by creating connections with student veterans and their chapters, while making them the 'go-to' source for employment services and career opportunities. Additionally, it aligns with NASWA's strategic goal of driving the national workforce agenda by partnering with other national organizations in support of issues important and necessary to our members. Lastly, it strengthens the NLx and jobs available to state job banks by streamlining and including SVA's corporate members and partners.

The NLx is a public-private partnership between NASWA and DirectEmployers Association that leverages private, nonprofit-owned technology with existing state workforce agency resources. It collects and distributes job openings exclusively found on corporate career websites and state job banks. All NLx services are currently offered at no cost to state workforce agency customers and will also be available for free to student veterans. All state workforce agencies, including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam, participate in the NLx.
