She also held a position with the European representation of the German Federal Employment Agency in Belgium. \nNicole has a BA in Communications and an MA in Industrial and Organisational Psychology\, as well as training in early childhood education. In her “day job”\, Sareena is the Executive Director of the Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF)\, working in Canada and internationally to strengthen the reach and impact of career development. With her team at CCDF\, she moves from ideas to action in areas of public policy\, research and development\, capacity building and advocacy. He is a benchlearning assessor of the European PES Network\, alternative member of the EU PES Board\, and Youth Guarantee Co-ordinator of Hungary. He is also an Associate Professor in Pedagogy in the field of Career Guidance. Honorary Associate Professor of the Milton Friedman University Budapest and the University of Szeged\, Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. Senior Lecturer at the University of ELTE Budapest\, Institute of Research on Adult Education and Knowledge Management. Current and former board member of different international associations (such as IAEVG\, ICCDPP). She represents HZZ in the EU PES Network as an Alternate Member of the Board of the EU PES Network and the Advisor for European PES Affairs (AFEPA). She joined the Croatian Employment Service in 2010. She worked for the Job Mediation Department and EURES Croatia. While working in these departments she has gained professional experience and knowledge in the field of international job mediation and labour market mobility. She holds a master’s degree in foreign languages and education. Inga has also held leadership roles in various regional employment services in Vilnius and Kaunas\, where she managed employment policies for vulnerable populations\, including youth and the disabled. She holds a master’s degree in Administration and Management from Kaunas University of Technology. Fluent in five languages\, Inga is recognized for her strategic planning\, quality control expertise\, and effective communication skills. She has contributed to numerous national and regional labor market studies and has been a national expert for Erasmus+ and other international projects. The conference aims to delve into these complexities\, offering insights and solutions to bridge the gap between the promises and pitfalls of digitization\, through the three thematic sessions described below: \n1. Helping workers cope with the promises and pitfalls of digitization\nThe promise of digitization lies in its potential to improve productivity\, efficiency and innovation. However\, it also presents challenges such as job displacement\, skills obsolescence and intensifying competition. According to the World Economic Forum\, half the world’s workforce may need to be retrained in the next two years\, and 1.1 billion jobs will be transformed by technology over the next decade. This discussion will explore strategies to help workers adapt to the digital landscape while mitigating the risks of job displacement and skills mismatch. \n2. Promoting digital literacy and education\nDigital literacy is increasingly becoming a prerequisite for participation in the modern workforce; however\, according to PwC\, 75% of decision-makers in Asia-Pacific countries are concerned that their respective workforces are falling behind in the race to acquire digital skills This session will focus on initiatives to promote digital literacy and education\, including the development of curricula\, training programs and lifelong learning opportunities. By equipping people with the necessary digital skills\, we can give them the means to thrive in the digital economy. \n3. The International Labour Organization reports that vulnerable populations are at greater risk of being left behind in the digital transformation.
