Akiei JIBIKI
Deputy Director, the Office for the Director General for General Policy and Evaluation, MHLW
Akiei JIBIKI is currently a Deputy Director in the Office for the Director General for General Policy and Evaluation at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan, where he is responsible for analyzing labour economy and writing “The Analysis of the Labour Economy (White Paper).” Previously, he worked in the Employment Policy Division of the Employment Security Bureau, where he formulated medium- to long-term employment policies, including drafting the “Employment Policy Research Group Report,” which outlines necessary policies and actions for Japanese businesses, workers, and the government in anticipation of demographic changes by 2040. He has also contributed to international collaborations with Asian countries while working in the International Affairs Division. Akiei holds a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Economics from Hitotsubashi University, a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Economics from Hosei University.
Yosuke SETO
Section Chief, Employment Policy Division, Employment Security Bureau, MHLW
Yosuke SETO is currently a section chief of the Employment Policy Division of the Employment Security Bureau at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) in Japan. He mainly engages in international affairs related to PES. Before joining the MHLW, he worked for a major Japanese travel agency, where he engaged in international ticketing service for 15years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Commerce from Otaru University of Commerce.
