WAPES Joins the Prestigious LEM Declaration of G7 Ministers
September 2024 – In a ground-breaking achievement, the World Association of Public Employment Services has been officially included in the Labour and Employment Ministers Declaration by the G7 Ministers. This notable inclusion highlights WAPES’s unique position as the sole organization that unites Public Employment Services from all G7 nations, underscoring its pivotal role in addressing crucial challenges within the employment sector.
The G7 Labour Ministers recognized WAPES for its significant contributions and collaborative efforts across the globe. Detailed in Page 7, point 21 of the LEM Declaration, the announcement marks a milestone for WAPES, acknowledging its efforts in fostering international cooperation among employment services. The document, titled “G7_20204_Labour_Declaration” is accessible on the official G7 Italy website and provides comprehensive insight into the discussions and resolutions passed during the summit.
WAPES’s involvement in the LEM Declaration is not just a ceremonial inclusion but a testament to the practical and influential work the association has been conducting.
