WAPES Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting – Clark City, 6 November 2025

Members of the Asia-Pacific region of the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES) met in Clark City, Philippines, on 6 November 2025, under the vice-presidency of KEIS (Republic of Korea).

Representatives from Japan, Cambodia, South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines took part in this regional meeting, which provided an opportunity to review the actions undertaken since the Kuala Lumpur meeting in 2024, define priorities for 2026 and contribute to the long-term strategy for WAPES (2026–2035).

The discussions highlighted cooperation between public employment services, the sharing of experiences, intercultural training, and the growing importance of digitalisation and artificial intelligence in employment policies.

Through this event, WAPES reaffirms its key role in developing inclusive and sustainable employment policies by supporting collaboration among its 74 members across five regions of the world.
