From the Stadium to the Workplace: when sport becomes a recruitment tool!
On 21 May 2026, the Palais des Sports in Treichville hosted the ‘From the Stadium to Employment’ (DSVE) programme, an innovative initiative led by the Youth Employment Agency (Ivory Coast) and France Travail, aimed at connecting young people with employment opportunities in a new way.
Through anonymous sports activities organised by the Maracana Federation, participants were able to showcase their personal qualities, team spirit, adaptability and leadership skills, going beyond what a standard CV can convey. The day continued with a relaxed lunch that encouraged conversation, followed by a job-matching event bringing together recruiters and candidates.
Launched as part of the twinning initiative between the Treichville and Vitry-sur-Seine agencies, this programme embodies a modern, inclusive and people-centred approach to recruitment, with the support of Florence Dumontier, Director of International Relations at France Travail.
With the participation of 20 companies, 100 jobseekers and a number of key players in the field of employment integration, the DSVE confirms that sport can be a real springboard to employment.
