Development and promotion of green jobs, an opportunity for Public Employment Services

From December 18 to 20, some fifteen African WAPES members gathered in Conakry to discuss the role of PES in the promotion and development of green jobs. This inter-regional conference, was a follow-up to the work carried out in N’Djamena in 2018, and aimed to update the major orientations and main thrusts of the strategy to be implemented by PES.

The objectives were as follows:

• Share sector programs and initiatives
• Share experiences between PES and partners
• Set up the process for implementing the Green Jobs Development and Promotion Program.
