WAPES Focus: Green Transition

In this first issue, WAPES Focus takes a look at The Green Transition, which offers solutions to the major challenges facing us today, such as combating climate change and preserving the environment. PES has a crucial role to play in this area, and it’s only natural that WAPES should have taken up the subject several years ago.

The green transition offers opportunities to create sustainable jobs, reorient the workforce, promote innovation and improve quality of life, all objectives aligned with our mission to support public employment services worldwide.

You will find here compiled all the information gathered during the conferences (N’Djamena 2018 – Conakry 2023), as well as a catalog of actions produced by the WAPES G7 working group, and a report written by our consultant Thierry Huort entitled Impact of climate change and ecological transformation on the labor market.
