Asia Pacific Region Meeting

On Monday July 15, members of the WAPES Asia-Pacific region concluded a productive meeting at the InterContinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The event brought together representatives from PERKESO (Malaysia), KEIS (Republic of Korea), MHLW (Japan), NEA (Cambodia), DOLE (Philippines) and WAPES to discuss recent and upcoming activities.

The meeting enabled fruitful exchanges on employment policies and strategies, reinforcing the commitment to regional cooperation and development. Participants presented their work and also discussed the activities that the region has developed and will develop within our association over the coming years.

Participants looked forward to implementing the initiatives discussed and fostering stronger partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region.

WAPES activities in Malaysia will continue tomorrow with the regional conference on Mitigating Future Skills Gaps: Progressing in a Digital World of Work.
