Official launch of preparations for the 13th WAPES World Congress!
We are pleased to announce that preparations for the World Congress of the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES) have officially begun! Scheduled for early May 2025, this event will take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and will focus on active employment policies in the face of demographic challenges.
Under the chairmanship of Mr. Jean Louis Kouadio, Administrator of the Agence Emploi Jeunes, the first meeting of the Scientific Committee defined a draft central theme:“Employment policies in the face of demographic challenges: What are the stakes for labor market players?”.
4 major sub-theme projects were also proposed:
- Demography and youth: What challenges for the future?
- Innovative, job-creating economies.
- New PES ecosystems and partnerships.
- Putting people at the heart of employment policies: inclusion and well-being.
This congress will bring together key players in labor markets from around the world to discuss policies and partnerships for inclusive and sustainable development.
Let’s stay tuned to follow the key stages of this international event!
We will soon launch the call for contributions and confirm the exact locations and dates.
