Greetings from the President of AASEP and Vice-President of WAPES Africa on the occasion of 8 March, International Women’s Day.

Every year on 8 March, International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world.

This celebration gives me a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the role and contribution of women in achieving the objectives of our public employment services (PES), both in Africa and elsewhere in the world. I congratulate them and encourage them to continue working and persevering in this direction, because without them, nothing solid and sustainable could be built.

That is why at AASEP/WAPES, our women, at whatever level they may be, deserve to be celebrated every day and at every moment. This is the best way for us to pay them a heartfelt tribute and show them the recognition they deserve. On behalf of all my peers, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all the female staff of our PES and the WAPES Executive Secretariat for a HAPPY 8 MARCH TO EVERYONE!
