DRC: Mr Fanon BEYA takes the reins of the Office National de l’Emploi (National Employment Office)
Appointed by Presidential Order, read out on national television on Saturday July 08, ONEM’s new team, comprising the Managing Director, his Deputy and the Board of Directors, officially took up their duties on Wednesday July 26, during a handover and takeover ceremony at the institution’s headquarters between the outgoing interim Managing Director, Mrs Ebambi KATALAYI, and the incoming Managing Director, Mr Fanon BEYA NGOMBE.
Passing on the baton of command to her successor, Mrs. Ebambi paid tribute to the supervisory authorities for the interest they had shown in her for her interim appointment at the head of ONEM. She went on to recall the various projects she had initiated which had contributed to the smooth running of the Office.
In his turn, the new Managing Director of the Office National de l’Emploi expressed his pleasure at the warm welcome extended to him, and pledged to work in the best interests of all staff and jobseekers. At the same time, he thanked the Head of State for having placed his trust in him to steer the destiny of this regulatory body for the employment market in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This new era also met with the approval of all staff, who welcomed the creation of a Board of Directors within the Office National de l’Emploi for the first time since its creation.
