This webinar focuses on PES’ successful outreach to employers in alignment with Convention 88 and Convention 181 of ILO. The content of this webinar draws on an international evidence base to shed light on practical collaborations. It focuses on how PES, aligned with Convention 88, can actively support employers seeking diverse talent pools, such as apprentices, trainees, young professionals, and individuals with disabilities.

The webinar will be recorded, held in English, and moderated by Nicole Clobes – WAPES Consultant Interpretation will be available in French and Spanish.

Anna-Karin Palm Olsson – Technical Specialist on Labour Market Services at International Labour Organization (ILO)

Anna-Karin Palm Olsson holds a Master’s Degree in International Legal Sciences, specializing in European Union Law and Human Rights. She has been at the ILO for over a year now working as a Technical Specialist on Labour market services. She comes from International Affairs at Arbetsförmedlingen (Swedish Public Employment Services) where she worked for over 17 years mostly with international affairs, as a Project Manager and responsible for the international aspects of Agenda 2030. She has worked with the free movement of workers within the EU and mobility of workers globally. She believes that employment is the strongest poverty reductor we have today and in an inherent right for all persons to move freely across borders.

Dr. Jo Ingold – Associate Professor of Human Resource Management, Deakin Business School

Jo Ingold is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at Deakin Business School and has spent over two decades working in and around employment services.. Jo’s research and teaching encompass employability and skills, employer engagement, recruitment and talent acquisition and workplace inclusion. She has built the largest evidence base globally on employer engagement in employment services and works with governments, industry and practitioners to embed best practices. In 2023 she published the first book on employer engagement in employment services. Jo is a Fellow of the Institute of Employability Professionals and co-chairs the UK Employment Related Services Association’s Employer Engagement Forum. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Chartered Academic Member of the Australian Human Resource Institute and Editor of the academic journal Work, Employment and Society.
